Current & Recent Initiatives

Our Giving

Crohn's & Colitis Foundations of Canada & America- The CCFC funds medical research for a cure for inflammatory bowel disease. IBD has a big impact on the lives of many people who often suffer in silence. Medical understanding of these diseases has been making great strides lately. Let's help find a cure! Learn more about our current fundraiser!

David Suzuki Foundation- The David Suzuki Foundation contributes to scientific research, education, and public awareness of environment issues, especially relating to Canada. Learn more at DavidSuzuki.org.

Doctors Without Borders- Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an independent international medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural or man-made disasters, or exclusion from health care in more than 70 countries. Learn more at msf.ca.

Canadian Cancer Society- We regularly sponsor the local Dragon Boat team The Wonder Broads which benefits this great team of breast cancer survivors and also contributes donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Kiva- I have an account with the non-profit organization Kiva.org to help give micro-loans to small business owners in developing countries. It's a great way to help fight poverty in a responsible, sustainable way. Check out our Kiva lender profile.

Central Asia Institute- The CAI builds schools and supports education, teachers, and literacy programs, (especially for girls) in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and other Central Asian countries. Learn more at the CAI website. Read the institute's story in the best selling book: Three Cups Of Tea by Greg Mortenson.
